Role Selection in Collaboration Contracts

Role selection defines each participant’s involvement in each decision. Participants and owners make role selections on the Contract Details page.

How to Select Roles

  1. Go to the Contract Details page.
  2. Find the decision for which you want to select a role.
  3. Click the dropdown menu next to your name and choose your role.

Available Roles

  1. Explain: Sole decision-maker who informs others of their decision.
  2. Consult: Sole decision-maker who seeks input before deciding.
  3. Agree: Collective decision-maker working with others in the Agree role.
  4. Advise: Provides input but doesn’t make decisions.
  5. Accept: Does not provide input.
  6. Abstain: Observes without participating. Is unaffected by decision.

Role selections can be adjusted at any time until conflicts are resolved.
